**About the role**:
The Functional Analyst sits within the ETRM Applications team, supporting the development and maintenance of critical systems for Origin’s Energy Risk Management and Wholesale & Trading functions.

This role leads requirements gathering, analysis, and design across multiple business units, working with stakeholders and delivery teams to develop fit-for-purpose technology solutions.

**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Lead requirements gathering and functional solution design during project delivery, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Analyse business processes and service architecture to identify improvement opportunities and support solution development.
- Evaluate and present solution options, considering impacts on processes, maintenance, and support requirements.
- Perform detailed data analysis to inform solution assessments and ensure accuracy in functional specifications.
- Produce key functional deliverables, including documentation, UI/UX designs, test plans, and knowledge articles.
- Support testing activities by validating solutions, reviewing test cases, and assisting with user acceptance testing.

**Skills & Requirements**
- At least 8 years of experience in business and IT environments in functional or business analysis roles in an agile environment.
- Experience in Front/Middle/Back office businesses in particular Energy Risk Management, Wholesale & Trading Markets.
- Fundamental data analysis and SQL skills.
- Preparation of documentation to suit different audiences (business cases, functional requirements, business process maps, presentation packs, system documentation and UI/UX design document).
- Facilitation of workshops and presentations to all levels of management within IT and the Business areas.
- Experience leading business/functional analysis activities and team members.
- At least 2 years of experience managing stakeholders
