**The Role**
The APS6 Export Control Team Leader works within the Business Directorate within Maritime Integrated Warfare Systems (MIWS) Branch. The position will have the opportunity to lead a small team of Australian Public Service and contractor staff working on export control in MIWS Branch. This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual to rise to a new challenge working across multiple projects/products and within an integrated Australian Defence Force, Australian Public Service and contracted workforce.
This role will give the successful applicant the opportunity to work within high profile maritime projects that will provide excellent development opportunities and exposure to multiple stakeholders across Defence.
The role will work within a framework of legislation, established principles, work practices and procedures in accordance with Defence’s mission and business objectives. A major focus of this role will use your organisational and analytical skills to research, plan, liaise, negotiate and work within the priorities/timeframes to meet business outcomes.
**About our Team**
MIWS Branch under Ships Division is an exciting and complex environment to work in, offering a rewarding career in one of the most dynamic organisations within CASG. We work across both Acquisition and Sustainment environments to develop and deliver products into new shipbuilding programs and to provide update/upgrade products to the existing RAN fleet, giving staff exposure to a wide variety of high profile maritime projects.

- An ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- Adaptability, resilience and flexibility in the face of changing priorities and be open to learning new things and willing to assist other teams.
- Experience working in export control (highly desirable but not essential).
