**The Role**
Land Command, Control, Communications & Computer Systems (LC4S) Branch is seeking highly motivated and skilled EL 1 Global Export Control Manager professional who is able to provide support in delivering business outcomes. As the Subject Matter Expert provide leadership, management and advice on export control matters to the LC4S Branch which consists of both acquisition and, sustainment activities, Above the Line and Below the Line contract workforce.

In addition, provide advice and support to other Defence Projects, System Project Offices (SPO) and areas utilising LC4 supplied equipment. As the Global Export Control Manager, be accountable for ensuring the routine administration and compliance for export control matters, within LC4S Branch as set out in the Technology Control Plan.

Accountable for managing and leading a team, providing clear and consistent communication, setting clear performance and behavioural standards, managing performance, delegating responsibility, guiding and developing people. Responsible for the management of Export Control Compliance within the LC4S Branch, ensuring that all personnel are aware of Export Control roles and responsibilities and required personnel are authorised appropriately, using the set screening process.

Act as the primary point of contact for the Branch on export control matters. Influence, motivate and participate as a team member and actively lead group activities. Take initiative to resolve issues through analysis to deliver an outcome. Prepare correspondence, briefs and reports as required including submissions and documents for higher delegate and committee consideration. Facilitate awareness training sessions for branch staff relating to Export Controls.

International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) is the United States regulation that controls the manufacture, sale and distribution of defence and space-related articles and services. The ITAR contains a list of “restricted” countries that are unable to access ITAR controlled information, and therefore we will need to know if an applicant holds dual citizenship to one of the restricted countries to ensure they meet the requirement to perform the role (and we do not breach any ITAR requirements).

LC4S Branch, within Joint Systems Division (JSD) is an exciting and complex environment, working in partnership with Industry to deliver C4 technology equipment and services to customers across Defence and operational environmental. LC4S Branch acquires and sustains C4 capabilities, and is a trusted advisor of C4 Systems for the Australian Defence Organisation. The team comprises professionals from various disciplines including project management, engineering, commercial and logistics.

The multi - disciplinary team is comprised of highly skilled and motivated Australian Public Service, Australian Defence Force and contracted personnel. The team works from Russell Offices in Canberra and maintains close collaboration with other parts of Defence and other Government Agencies. - Demonstrated export control and /or commercial experience with Defence acquisition and sustainment programs involving US Foreign Military sales, Direct Commercial Sales and Cooperative Programs;
- Experience in industry engagement and managing the delivery of international engagement outcomes in dynamic environments, with diplomatic acumen; and
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build and maintain productive working relationships, successfully lead a distributed network of multiple stakeholders and positively influence processes and outcomes.
