The Role
An opportunity has become available for two Clinical Assistants to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide direct assistance to Radiography staff for preparation and direction of patients undergoing imaging examinations
- Perform or assist with patient manual handling duties including escorting of patients to and from examination rooms
- Liaise with clients requesting Medical Imaging examinations
- Assist with materials management as required including managing consumable levels, modality imprests, stationery ordering and monitoring of expiry dates
- Assess faults in Medical Imaging equipment and rectify or refer to the appropriate departments for repair/maintenance

About you

**To be successful in this position you will require**:

- A Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualification or equivalent
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 19
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

Salary
- Permanent full time and temporary full time (12 months, with the possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $61 464 - $64 613 per annum or $2 355.90 - $2 476.60 per fortnight

The Medical Imaging Service delivers a wide range of diagnostic imaging and interventional services across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service.
The Service provides a Level 6 Medical Imaging service at the Gold Coast University Hospital, a Level 4 service at Robina Hospital (RH) and technical support to the Day Surgery Unit at Varsity Lakes Hospital.
