**Role**

Our client is looking for an experienced and skilled Electronic Trades Worker who can maintain, adjust, and repair electronic equipment such as business machines, video and audio equipment, and electronic instruments and control systems, and transmit and receive radio messages.

Electronics trade workers must examine and test machines, equipment, instruments, and electronic control and monitoring systems to diagnose faults. Applicants must be able to use their knowledge of digital and analogue Electronics to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, upgrade, program and repurpose equipment in many industrial, commercial and consumer settings

**Duties and Responsibilities**

This role has a variety of duties and responsibilities which include but are not limited to:

- Examining and testing machines, equipment, instruments, and control systems to diagnose faults and errors
- Ability to respond to machinery errors and remedy faults
- Adjusting, repairing, and replacing worn and defective parts and wiring, and maintaining machines, equipment, and instruments
- Reassembling, test operating and adjusting equipment
- Advising users of correct operating procedures to prevent malfunctions
- Receiving messages by interpreting code and converting to plain language, and writing and typing messages for transmission
- Monitoring radio traffic, and transmitting and receiving voice messages
- Use test equipment to analyse voltages and currents in complex systems

**Skills and Requirements**
- AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV. At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for these formal qualifications.
- Ability to problem solve
- Competent communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
- Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply

**Salary**: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

- Sydney NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
