**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As the **Commercial Manager**, you’ll determine the commercial success of the Telecommunications Wireless projects by implementing governance processes that ensures the projects position is understood, risk mitigation plans are developed and implemented, and that the Downer Project Management Methodology is followed.

In this role you’ll manage the administration of all Downer’s obligations, whilst protecting all of Downer’s rights through building and maintaining relationships with key client personnel. You’ll ensure all subcontractors are managed and administered in accordance with our subcontract agreements.

This role can be based at either our North Ryde NSW, CBD and Derrimut VIC or Milton QLD office.

**ABOUT YOU**

As the Commercial Manager, you are a strategic thinker with the ability to think _‘outside the box’_. You are a leader that is objective, willing to challenge, investigate, troubleshoot & provide solutions. You will also have the following skills & experience:

- Tertiary qualifications in construction management, business, law, accounting or quantity surveying
- Several years of construction experience working in a commercial and/or legal department on a major project is highly preferable
- Proven experience in the contract reviews, negotiation and the delivery of contracts and providing sound commercial advice
- An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders
- Developed analytical and planning/prioritisation skills
- Previous experience in the telecommunications industry working for a Tier 1 Contractor will be highly regarded.
