An exciting opportunity exists for a Social Media Advisor on an Ongoing basis in the Public Engagement and Media Branch.

The Public Engagement and Media branch is custodian of the department's story, brand and reputation. The branch supports the work of government and its partners to build inclusive and empowered communities to achieve the best health, wellbeing and safety for all Victorians.

The branch takes an evidence-based approach to change and delivers progressive and best practice external and internal communications, engagement, digital and media services.

The Social Media Advisor is responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of content for strategic social media series and initiatives to drive engagement and reach, increase website visits and build department or brand awareness.

Working closely with colleagues across the Branch and across all the department's social media channels, the Social Media Advisor will use the department's social media channels to coordinate, create, and publish engaging content, contribute to community engagement, report on social media activity, and stay up to date with the latest social tools, trends and platforms.

As required the Social Media Advisor will work with the leadership team to ensure effective communications services, support and resourcing during emergency, crisis and peak periods.

**VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS POLICY**

Other mandatory qualifications or requirements for this opportunity include:

- Demonstrated understanding of the operation of government.
- Experience in creating content for social media channels within complex organisations.
