**Your new role**
Statutory Authority seeks experienced an experienced Media and Communications Advisor (Marketing Campaigns) for full-time, 6 month fixed term contracts based in Melbourne CBD. As a Media and Communications Advisor (Marketing Campaigns) you will support the external component of the organisation's Communications Strategy.
You will play a lead role in the organisation's advertising and marketing strategy, planning, coordinating and delivering the organisation's annual advertising and community awareness campaigns and external facing events in alignment with its Communications strategy.
The position requires a keen eye for detail, ability to manage deadlines and multiple projects, and be a confident communicator. You must be available for roster and for after hours on-call duties on a rotating basis.
**Accountabilities**:
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Planning and delivering the organisation's annual advertising plan and campaigns.
- Project managing all campaigns from inception to delivery, including working with creative designers to develop innovative concepts, navigating the Victorian Government Master Agency Media Services (MAMS) process, liaising with internal stakeholders and managing the advertising budget.
- Planning and coordinating branded events, including preparing and adhering to budgets, sourcing and negotiating with vendors, working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and coordinating all operations to ensure events run smoothly.
- Supporting the External Communications Manager in delivery of all components of communications strategy with an emphasis on proactive media.
- Working to source and pitch positive stories that engage the community and promote the work of the organisation and its staff.
- Assist Director Media and Communications and External Communications Manager with issues and crisis management.
- Provide sound advice and recommendations on emerging channels and platforms and assist with the day to day management of the the organisation's website and social media pages, including monitoring, moderating and developing content and strategies to enhance its online presence.
**Experience and Skills**
The experience and skills you will need to demonstrate include:
- 5+ years' experience in a marketing role.
- Victorian Government Master Agency Media Services (MAMS) process experience or experience delivering large scale marketing or advertising campaigns in a government environment **would be highly advantageous** for this role.
- Experience coordinating branded events for a large organisation.
- Proven relationships with key media and knowledge of media and social media processes and procedures.
**Qualifications**:
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Events Management or related field is required.
- Victorian Government Master Agency Media Services (MAMS) process experience highly regarded
- A current car licence will be required.
