Channels Business Management Lead

The role operates within HSBC Australia’s WPB Channels Function, reporting to the Head of Channel Operations. The role holder will lead or take ownership of day to day business activities, cyclical work pieces such as Annual Reporting and any short term initiatives for the Channels Function.

The purpose of the position is to ensure the smooth and timely operations of WPB’s Channels function. The role holder will work with senior internal and external stakeholders to regularly evaluate and forecast the performance of the Channels function, providing reporting and business plans to the WPB Head of Channel Operations and Head of Channels as appropriate.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Overseeing the execution of business initiatives and activities in support of the Channels function and working woith external stakeholders
- Facilitating and supporting senior management decision making by the use of management information, performance information, analytics, forums, stakeholder feedback and HSBC strategy
- Ensuring the success of events, committees, communications and presentations as any reports and insights as required for senior executives as well as the Channels function scorecard and targets as well
- Driving the creation and adherence to the function’s scorecard, targets (e.g. Revenue) and budgets (e.g. expenses and FTE), including decision making on respective department budget metrics with a view to delivering maximum financial and operational efficiencies.
- Oversight of Channels customer experience, including NPS and complaint analysis
- Representing in forums and committees as appropriate and participating in business planning activities
- Devising and monitoring internal function activities (e.g. Business Continuity)
- Investigating and seeking remedies for discrete issues which may be adversely affecting the Channels function

Requirements

**Requirements**:

- Qualification in Business, Accountancy, Finance or related field with demonstrated business knowledge and experience across financials, budgeting, strategic planning, communications and people management
- Demonstrated understanding of Retail Banking and Wealth sales and service channels
- High level of drive and motivation to ensure delivery of a broad range of outputs simultaneously across HSBC
- Proven experience of positive, challenging interactions with Senior Executives across the business
- Proven ability to articulate complex issues concisely and in simple language
- Outstanding relationship management, collaboration and influencing skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels across the Group
- Previous experience in Business, Project Management or Transformation activities
