Their incredible manufacturing facility based in Victoria positions Vawdrey as Australia’s largest semi-trailer manufacturer and this is further substantiated by their state-of-the-art Service & Repair facilities in QLD and NSW. Manufacturing close to 100 trailers a month, building each with the care needed to ensure long-term relationships with their customers.

**About this Position**

Reporting through to the National Refrigerated Equipment Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of 10 employees and working hands-on in the daily operations of our Refrigerated Panel Production team. Full training provided

Responsibilities include but not limited to;
- Assisting in optimizing operational efficiency and minimizing operational costs.
- Providing leadership and effectively managing people, systems and resources to meet operational/customer demand.
- Adhering to quality, occupation health and safety systems in line with legal and regulatory requirements, customer expectations and company policies.
- Supervising and developing employees to promote effective teamwork and employee relations, and to continuously improve the capabilities and performance of the Panel Section.
- Collaborating with other members of the management team in day-to-day operations, management and communication of information, compliance with business processes and contribution to overall business improvements.

This position is ideally suited to an individual who has been working in a Production and/or Manufacturing environment in a supervisor or lead capacity - preferably in a fibreglass production facility. Key challenges for the role include:

- Ready to lead a team - with the capacity to build up another team in an afternoon shift
- Great communication skills - you articulate your messages clearly and engage well with others.
- A keen attention to detail and a natural willingness to take care and get things right the first time.
- An ability to ‘think on your feet’, multitask and remain effective under pressure.
- Good planning and organisation skills - having a good plan going into each shift is really important here.
- Solid work history [you’ve shown a good long-term commitment to jobs in the past].
- Current & valid Forklift license.
- Sound numeracy and literacy skills.
- Work is important to you - you’ve got financial goals & responsibilities or a family to support

Experience in Fibreglass production will be well regarded but not essential.
