Mahlab is a multi-award-winning agency, creating marketing, publishing and communications strategies that are famous for delivering
**#workthatworks**.
We partner with some of the world’s largest brands including Salesforce, Slack, VMware, Adyen and Kyndryl, as well as well-known Australian brands like Prospa and nbn.
We’re a team of creatives, marketers, writers, strategists, designers, producers and communicators, who love coffee, dogs, trivia, and the occasional matching outfits.
Due to a recent client win in the psychology sector, we are now looking for a communications and content manager to lead the day-to-day execution of this newly established marketing and communications program that will drive momentous organisational change over the next three years.
Reporting to the communications director; the focus of the communications and content manager is to deliver this pivotal marketing and communications program. You will be required to deep dive into this client’s world, immerse yourself in the industry and become the expert voice that will guide the organisation as it drives momentous change internally and across the psychology industry.
You will understand the strategy that has been developed for this client, and you will lead its execution. You will be able to juggle multiple deadlines and be comfortable working across many communications disciplines - from advisory and stakeholder management to messaging development and content creation.
You’re excited by the opportunity to deeply immerse yourself in a client’s world and industry, helping to devise and shape the right message for the right audience. You’re confident in producing content such as writing blog posts, social media copy, statements, to scripts and presentations, and are comfortable managing multimedia content projects end-to-end - including the briefing and oversight of creative, video or audio projects.
You are confident presenting ideas, providing advice and leading the charge in meetings and challenging clients to think bigger and differently. You’re comfortable leading junior staff members, freelancers and partners to get client work delivered to the highest possible standards.
You are obsessed with detail. You check work before it’s delivered (even if you didn’t do it), ensuring that it’s high quality, aligned to the broader objectives of the communications program and free of mistakes.
This role is a great learning opportunity for anyone looking to progress their career and build skills in stakeholder management, corporate communications and marketing. The successful applicant for this role will be open and keen to learn from senior team members, and nurture these skills over time.
**What you will need**:
- 5+ years experience in communications
- Strong project management skills
- Experience working with video and creative production partners
- Strong client and stakeholder management skills
- Strong writing and interpersonal skills
- Ability to mentor junior team members
- Ability to set communications KPIs
- Be an avid consumer of industry-related news
**Why it's pretty good here**:
- Mahlab is a certified B corporation
- We have bespoke learning and development programs
- Flexible working with WFH
- We are smack-bang in the middle of Balmain’s main strip
- Wellness Employee Assistance Program.
- On-tap coffee machine (called Bruce FYI)
- Mahlab Munchies Bar for snack time
- Annual flu vaccinations
- Discounts through our Employment Hero HR platform
- Dog-friendly office
