In response to growing demand for our environmental services, there is an exciting opportunity for an experienced **natural capital and biodiversity** professional to join our team in Melbourne or Sydney.

We work with leading organisations across industry sectors and cover a wide range of exciting and interesting areas in the natural capital space, including:

- Supporting the development of leading frameworks and initiatives such as the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD)
- Assisting clients with understanding and adopting the TNFD and other relevant frameworks
- Supporting the adoption of innovative nature-based solutions
- Biodiversity offset planning and management
- Biodiversity compliance audits
- Compiling natural capital investment frameworks
- Developing innovative approaches to the measurement and reporting of natural capital
- Identification and assessment of environmental and natural capital risks, impacts and opportunities
- Development, implementation and review of environmental strategies, targets and initiatives including Key Performance Indicators for natural capital
- Assisting with enhancing compliance in relation to various biodiversity legislation, policies, frameworks and regulations
- Identification, implementation and review of corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations
- Assisting with the development of nature-based carbon offset projects, with associated bio-diversity and other nature based co-benefits
- Assisting both government and the private sector design and develop environmental compliance frameworks, management systems, policies, processes, guidelines, procedures and controls to enhance environmental management (including natural capital) performance.

**You bring to the role**
- Excellent knowledge of natural capital (including biodiversity), with at least **ten to fifteen years** of demonstrated experience in natural capital and biodiversity advisory and /or audit
- Strong knowledge of the draft TNFD framework and other frameworks and standards as well as being able to support clients with practical adoption and implementation
- Strong communication skills and an ability to develop and strengthen client relationships
- General environmental technical expertise across areas including water, waste and air quality
- Experience across a variety of sectors, with a strong skillset in infrastructure, government, energy and mining
- Demonstrated experience in leading projects and teams
- Coaching skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Excellent writing skills
- Relevant tertiary qualification in environmental or natural sciences such as ecology, including engineering with an environmental or science focus. A Master’s degree or other relevant environmental certifications and qualifications will be favourably considered.
