Why this role matters
The Salvation Army Australia’s Homelessness Stream provides high quality, person-centred services to people at risk, and or experiencing homelessness. We support all cohorts in case management, outreach support, financial assistance, connection and referral to other specialist services.

As the Team Leader you will lead an effective and high functioning team of Case Managers to deliver person-centred case management responses that assist in providing safe accommodation, sustained tenancy, social inclusion, and support to address immediate crisis needs of clients referred to program.

The role you could play- Oversee day to day operations of service delivery including:
- Implementation of service delivery processes and tools
- Input and completion of quarterly State Government reporting requirements, with final sign off from line Manager
- Quality service delivery that meets the needs of clients experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless; for example, service user entry, intake, case management/service delivery planning, and progress and outcomes for clients
- Caseloads are effectively allocated and monitored to ensure effective service delivery and best outcomes for clients
- Provide specialist expertise and leadership to Case Managers to resolve complex case management issues
- Monitoring service performance targets and collaboratively identifying strategies to address issues with program/regional manager
- Service gaps are identified and recommendations for service delivery improvements are made to the Program Manager
What you will bring
- Degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development or related field OR demonstrated high level of sector knowledge and skills attained through previous appointments, service and study/development
- Relevant Experience in a Social Service environment including in supervising staff
- QLD Working with Children Check
- Driver’s Licence
- First Aid Certificate
- A willingness to undergo a National Police Check
