**About the Role**
In this role, you will be responsible for undertaking and maintaining all required Hospital maintenance duties and ensuring services comply with legislative standards, corporate policy guidelines and accountable for corrective, scheduled & preventative maintenance across sites.
This role will also see you direct and manage the work of maintenance contractors, assist with capital projects, participate in an afterhours on call service and ensure all maintenance duties and responsibilities are kept up to date. Working independently, you will report to and perform duties as requested by the Network Facilities Manager.
**About You**
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service to all customers, staff and stakeholders. Your effective problem solving, organisational and time management skills will be critical for this role. Sound computer skills and attention to detail are also highly desirable.
You will also bring:
- Mechanical or Building Relevant Trades qualification (essential - preference will be towards a Building or mechanical tradesperson)
- Participate in an on-call roster
- Be highly accountable with a supportive and engaging style
- Proven experience in commercial facility maintenance
- The ability and willingness to confidently work across various trade areas at a reasonable skill level
- Proven experience in external contractor Supervision
- An interest and desire to assist people and the ability to work co-operatively with others
- Sound level of computer literacy skills
- Ability to work unsupervised and prioritise tasks effectively
- Experience in and ongoing commitment to Quality Improvement principles
- Have a contemporary knowledge of best practice in building maintenance and compliance requirements within healthcare
- Hold a valid Victorian Driver’s Licence (essential)
Desirable:
- Experience in previous hospital maintenance role
- Experience/qualified Mechanical / Building services

**Requirements**:
- Must be **vaccinated against Covid-19** a vaccine approved by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation
- Must provide a **National Police** check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a **Working-With-Children** check and **proof of immunisation** against infectious diseases
