About the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre
Founded in 2001, the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) is Australia’s largest human rights organisation providing support to people seeking asylum. About The Role
Build your experience in volunteer management in a large-scale, award winning volunteer program The Volunteer Engagement Lead is responsible for development and implementation of the ASRC workforce goals for volunteering in our program of over 500 volunteers across 12 programs including onsite and remote working volunteers.
- Manage the volunteer recruitment process ensuring positive experience for volunteers and diverse and equitable recruitment outcomes.
- Manage the integration of technology to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of processes involved in volunteer recruitment, onboarding, offboarding and communication.
- Review the program and identify improvements to process, policy, ways of working and technology to enhance the volunteer experience.
- Manager volunteer engagement including through organising events such as attendance at briefings and celebrations
- Support and guide our program volunteer coordinators to provide engaging volunteer roles and activities.
- Build organisational capability in volunteering through learning opportunities, communities of practice, and the development of tools and knowledge resources.

About You
You are a people connector You love working with people, and know how to engage and draw the best out of our volunteer workforce, ensuring they feel engaged in our organisational purpose and their role. Along with previous experience in a similar role or a tertiary qualification in Human Resources or similar, you will also have:

- Experience in managing volunteer programs including implementing strategies, reviewing and improving processes and programs
- Experience using technology to manage large volumes of administration.
- Strong written and verbal communication including public speaking, writing program proposals and policies and processes.
- Ability to build strong relationships with a broad range of people including volunteers and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated HRIS experience, with strong knowledge in system usage and reporting functions, preferably in Salesforce, Cloud 4J and Form Assembly and Job Adder.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as contribute effectively as part of a team.
- Experienced in organising and managing events.
- Willingness to work onsite to build relationships with volunteers across a number of programs and skill sets.
- Willingness to travel to Dandenong on a regular basis.
