As part of TCorp’s Investment Management division, the Investment Analyst will provide investment research and analytical support to key activities of the Portfolio Construction team primarily models and process enhancement. The Investment Analyst will further develop the internal investment capability and knowledge of the Portfolio Construction team through advanced quantitative research, analysis, modelling, internal process improvement and other value add activities.

The Investment Analyst will have accountability over these key outcome areas:

- Quantitative portfolio modelling and research, supporting client specific needs and portfolio risk management.
- Research, analysis, and support for investment strategy and evolution of processes supporting TCorp’s Investment Model.
- Day-to-day processes that support appropriate diversified portfolio oversight and management.
- Data management, cleansing, and produce tables and charts that communicate data effectively.
- Work collaboratively on projects, new research ideas and opportunities with the broader Portfolio Construction and investment team as directed.
- Contribution to Portfolio Construction team meetings and to TCorp strategic objectives and outcomes.
- Support the development, documentation and review of Portfolio Construction team procedures and work processes.

To succeed in this role the Investment Analyst will need to demonstrate intermediate use of quantitative models, excel workbooks and one or more programming languages, sound analytical and quantitative skills with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, client focused mentality, strong problem-solving skills, ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing), proactivity in contributing to initiation and research to support superior portfolio construction decision making. The ability to be adaptable and work in partnership within a team and independently, as well as take direction from others is a key measure of success.

TCorp would like to hear from you if you have completed relevant tertiary education in mathematics, statistics, actuarial, econometrics, engineering, computer science, applied quantitative finance or other quantitative disciplines and have up to 3+ years’ experience in the investment industry. To be considered you will also need a strong quantitative background with experience in handling large sets of data in Excel, Python and/or other quantitative programming languages. Experience and deep familiarity with a total portfolio risk is highly desirable.
