**Job Title**: Casual Produce Buyer

**Location**: Sydney

**Job Type**: Casual, Part-time

**Hours**: Initially 5-10 hours per week, with the potential to scale quickly.

**About Us**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Source and purchase a variety of fresh produce from local markets and suppliers.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure all procured items meet our standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and farmers.
- Stay updated with market trends, seasonal produce availability, and pricing.
- Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company.
- Coordinate with the logistics team for timely delivery of purchased produce.
- Assist in planning and forecasting procurement needs as the company scales.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in produce buying or a similar role in the food industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of local produce, seasonal trends, and supplier networks.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
- A keen eye for detail and quality.
- Basic computer skills for record keeping and reporting.
- Flexibility to adapt to a rapidly growing and changing business environment.
