Sydney, Australia Higgins Coatings Full time

Are you a qualified commercial painter looking for something new? We are on the hunt for a permanent, full-time painter with commercial painting experience to join our Townsville team.

**Tasks and duties include**:

- Preparing surfaces for painting using equipment such as high pressure washing machine, grinding, sanding and scraping
- Painting surfaces in accordance with customer requirements and scope of works
- Working at heights including working from ladders and scaffold - erecting and dismantling scaffold up to 4m
- Operating elevated work platforms such as scissor lifts, boom lifts and knuckle booms
- Handling painting materials. coatings, cleaning solvents, fillers and adhesives, coverings, barricades, signs, hazardous materials and waste in line with SWMS and Safety Data Sheets.

**You will need**:

- Certificate III in painting and decorating
- Minimum 2+ years experience in commercial painting
- Construction induction card
- Working at heights course
- EWP license under and over 11m
- Open drivers licence
- Ability to operate high pressure washing machines
- Ability to operate paint spraying machines
- Experience in using fall restraint/roof kit equipment while working at heights
- Experience setting up and dismantling mobile scaffold up to 4m high
- Ability to identify workplace hazards and not place self at risk
- Proven attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Successfully pass a Police Check
- Working with Children car
