**How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne**
The position delivers administrative support and coordination to the Director of City Property, to ensure the smooth running of the business area by performing a range of administrative and support functions within a political, complex and multi-faceted organisational environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to elevate their Business Support or Administration experience, or explore / advance their career aspirations as an Executive Assistant. You will have a proactive approach, the ability to independently manage workflow, and sound judgment to make decisions with mínimal direction.
The City Property Branch manages Council’s $4.7 billion property and asset portfolio, including strategic property and asset management, facilities, and building maintenance. It develops and manages key relationships with stakeholders and leads projects on sustainability, strategic property issues, and long-term asset renewal. The branch also provides strategic guidance for commercial and community developments.
**What you will bring...(selection criteria)**
- Substantial experience in an administrative support delivery function with the ability to anticipate support needs and multi-task within a fast-paced, high volume and multi-faceted business environment.
- Highly developed customer service skills and demonstrated ability to be professional, diplomatic, assertive, discrete, courteous and maintain confidentiality.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment supporting productive relationships with people at all levels.
- Ability to develop, implement and maintain sound systems and processes to drive efficiency across administrative functions whilst leading and educating others within a continuous improvement environment.
