Weir Minerals is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assembly Fitter to join our team at Artarmon. As a Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling Weir Minerals and Warman processing equipment including, but not exclusive to, slurry pumps and bearing assemblies, hydro-cyclones, drive arrangements and valves. Your work will be critical in ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
- Execution of Pump Assembly production requirements in support of departmental on-time delivery (OTD) and Quality objectives.
- Support of the Pump Test Bay in fitting and conducting pump performance testing.
- Support the Lean Engineer in coordination of Continuous Improvement projects using Lean tools (e.g., Kaizen, TPM, VSM, SMED, 8D etc.) as per CI plan.
- Support in the investigation and resolution of Quality concerns on the shop floor.
- Completion of supporting documentation and Quality records associated with Pump Assembly Fitting work.

Qualifications:

- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Fitting to AQF III or above.
- Prior working experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
- Overhead crane certificate (desirable)
