Are you looking for a hands-on career in metal fabrication and machining? Our client, a leading mining equipment and components supplier, is seeking Fitters and Fabricators to join the team at their state-of-the-art facility in Wetherill Park.

As a valuable team member, you will work under the guidance of the Workshop Manager to fit and assemble fabricated metal parts into products, set up machining tools, operate machinery, and ensure the quality and accuracy of our products.

You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills and knowledge in fitting and machining techniques, tools, and equipment by,
- Studying drawings and specifications to determine the suitable material, method, sequence of operations, and machine settings
- Fit and assemble fabricated metal parts to produce machines and equipment
- Check fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance, and fit using precision measuring instruments
- Set up cutting and shaping tools and dies in machines and presses and setting controls for têxtile machines
- Cut, thread, bend, and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
- Diagnose faults, perform operational maintenance of machines, and overhaul and repair mechanical parts and fluid power equipment
- Erect machines and equipment on-site

Qualifications and Experience:

- Knowledge of fitting and machining techniques, tools, and equipment
- Strong math skills are required for measuring work processes
