About the Role
Due to an internal promotion, a full time permanent P&C Business Partner opportunity has become available within the P&C team at AGL. As an experienced HR generalist, you will provide P&C Partnering expertise to the Customer Markets (Retail) business group on a range of activities that are intended to drive change, enhance leadership and other core capabilities to curate the culture in line with AGL’s Values. You will work in partnership with the Business Unit (BU) Leaders to support delivery & achievement of AGL’s strategy through delivery of P&C strategy and business people plans
What you’ll be doing:
Reporting to the Head of P&C Partnering - Customer Markets, you will:
- Provide effective partnering support across all levels of the Customer Markets portfolio ensuring activities are aligned to P&C strategy and the broader AGL strategy
- Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of the interdependencies / touch points across our business to maximise efficiencies & successfully manage change
- Partner with leaders to create cohesive leadership teams which enable greater agility and innovation to support AGLs strategy
- Coach and mentor BU leaders on issues that relate to people management and performance
- Use data and insights to provide compelling cases for change across a variety of P&C concepts that will aid delivery and support strategy
- Provide project management delivery, advice and support on a range of people activities including organisational design and restructure
- Proactively support and manage cyclical P&C activities including Performance Management process and annual calibration, Remuneration Review, Talent and succession planning and action plans and Employee Listening support and action planning
- Provide specialist P&C guidance and support on a range of IR / ER matters including managing complex / sensitive employee grievances, investigations & Whistle blowing cases
- Ensuring P&C strategies are in harmony with stakeholder management plans; are legislatively sound; and are aligned to business plans
- To help frame and identify future capabilities required to support long term strategy and deliver on talent & workforce plans to acquire, build or outsource these key capabilities.
About You
Key to the success of this role is strong cognitive and adaptive thinking, with a collaborative approach. You will be sought by stakeholders as a trusted advisor, whilst challenging the status quo. You will be courageous by promoting thought leadership & actively sourcing best practice. You will have strong analytical and conceptual skills with an ability to use Data & metrics to influence decisions and discussions.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Proven HR generalist experience in a large/matrix diverse businesses in P&C Business Partnering/Senior P&C Advisor positions
- Experience in an ASX listed company highly desirable
- Proven track record to successfully manage complex IR / ER issues
- Dealing with and influencing internal stakeholders, including senior business leaders
- Experience working in operational and industrial (desired) workplaces
- Proven track record in Project Management
- An undergraduate and/or postgraduate qualifications in a business discipline (Desirable)
