
HR Business Partner

We are looking for a HR Business Partner to join our People and Culture team and support the ongoing development of the organisation. As our new HR Business Partner you will provide expertise in whole of organisation HR policy and practice, interpreting Public Sector directives and business needs, maintaining a workable policy framework and providing information and guidance to supervisors and managers. While not mandatory, qualifications in human resources, employment or industrial relations, or business will be highly regarded.

- Understand, interpret and provide accurate advice on a range of employment related matters across the entire employment lifecycle, referring to relevant legislation, Awards, Agreements, Public Sector Commission Directives, and internal policy and procedures.
- Undertake research and prepare information for the Principal HR Business Partner and Senior HR Business Partners on a range of employment related issues, ensuring advice is consistent with legislation, policy, Public Trustee strategic direction and operational plans.
- Interpret, analyse and provide solutions on workforce issues, and exercise sound, independent judgement to assist in the resolution of employment matters of varying complexity, escalating to the Snr HR Business Partners where needed.
- Review and/or develop policies, procedures and supporting documentation in response to emerging business needs and best practice.
- Undertake research and analysis into policy and implementation issues and provide analysis of findings and recommendations relating to proposed actions or activities.
- In collaboration with the Manager, People and Culture and the Principal HR Business Partner:
- establish and maintain human resource governance processes and reporting systems.
- develop and maintain systems and processes to enable efficient and accurate reporting of workforce data; and
- collate and analyse data, prepare reports, identify trends and provide advice on risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare timely, well researched and expertly written correspondence on employment related issues.
