**About the role**
This role leads and drives business development for Cancer Council Queensland Revenue Generation Programs and regional strategic priorities within the Sunshine Coast, Gympie and South Burnett region. Business development initiatives will result in quality funding streams and partnership opportunities to deliver Cancer Council Program strategies.
You will deliver the the Sunshine Coast, Gympie and South Burnett region, Business Development activities and volunteers to identify, build and leverage networks including Philanthropy, Corporate Investment, Campaigns and Events, Community Engagement and Local Area Marketing to provide a presence within this region.
The position requires someone who will develop strong networks across multiple sectors to pre-position for funding opportunities, in conjunction with the Business Development Manager, will assist in the development and implementation of strategic engagement plans for priority donors, and will lead and deliver the bid development process for all mission-based income streams to ensure strategic alignment and quality.
This role is Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours/week).
**About you**
**Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills**
- Essential_
- Experience developing winning proposals, including from local government grants, individual and corporate donors.
- Excellent communications skills in English (both written and verbal), good editing skills and the ability to tailor communication materials for different audiences.
- Confident networker with experience building and maintaining productive relationships with a range of donors and stakeholders.
- Commitment to providing effective support to peers, volunteers and partners possessing a range of skills and experience.
- Experience delivering funding strategies in line with organisation capacities and program strategies and achieving funding targets.
- Business and financial literacy, ability to analyse and devise robust budgets that deliver full cost recovery.
- Organised and methodical approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Desirable_
- Experience in a similar role in a not-for-profit organisation in Australia.
- Relevant higher education degree.
- Demonstrated commitment to for purpose organisations.
**Your Leadership Contribution**
