**About the role**

We have a unique opportunity for a passionate WHS Specialist to join our People & Performance team here at Youi to partner with the business and promote a robust WHS risk culture. Not only are these opportunities rare in an organisation of this size, but equally rare on the Sunshine Coast.

As the WHS Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting with management of Youi’s WHS frameworks, systems, and policies and therefore would suit someone with a broad range of experience in safety and wellbeing, as well as demonstrated partnering experience with P&C and business leaders to provide advice, coaching and guidance.

This role forms part of the wider P&C team that can be described as fun, collaborative, high-functioning and who have a genuine desire to ensure that our client groups are served well.

**Responsibilities**
- Draw upon your specialist knowledge of WHS legislation and codes of practice to support the design, implementation, and continual improvement of Youi’s WHS management system, policies, processes, and training.
- Manage the incident reporting process, and support business stakeholders to resolve incidents.
- Maintain the organisational safety risk register and support business leaders to maintain their department safety risk registers.
- Collaborate with Risk to uplift Youi’s approach and alignment to managing our safety risk strategy.
- Assist with WHS audits or other assurance processes as required.
- Partner with business leaders, facilities, and/or P&C business partners to identify and actively manage safety hazards/risks through coaching, training, and specific interventions.
- Provide specialist advice on safety and wellbeing matters.
- Act as rehabilitation and return to work coordinator, by providing advice, support and management to leaders and ill and injured employees.

**About you**
- Tertiary qualifications in safety, HR, or a related discipline (min Cert IV)
- Deep understanding of WHS in professional services or financial services
- Strong partnering and stakeholder management experience
- Project planning and implementation experience
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement practical solutions which manage WHS risk
- Deep understanding of risk management
- Clear and concise communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to coach and influence people at all levels of the organisation
- The ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deliver timely and accurate work
- Work independently on complex assignments and design solutions to complex problems.
