**The Role**:
We are seeking a highly motivated Safety Officer to join our team at ASCOT GROUP. The Safety Officer will be the first point of contact for all Safety related matters at ASCOT GROUP.
Working closely with the GM - HR & Operations and with oversight from our external HSEQ Consultant this role oversees:
- Incident management and investigations
- Be responsible for corrective action follow up
- Training staff in Safety
- upskill the ASCOT Team to become more knowledgeable
- Complete site inspections and/or show Site Supervisors how to do them
- Assist with safety requirements regarding risk assessments for jobs due to commence
- Manage all safety requirements through Worxs
**About You**:
- Qualification, preferably in Occupational, Health & Safety and/or relevant applied industry experience.
- At least 2 years experience, in a similar role within the Building & Construction Industry.
- Trade qualification/previous experience working on site within the Building & Construction Industry (highly desirable)
- Knowledge of Work Health & Safety Act and Regulations
- Knowledge of ISO accreditation (highly desirable)
- Experience creating Safety documents as required within the building and construction industry (e.g. SWMS).
- Maintain a full Victorian Driver’s Licence.
