The role involves on-going field support activities including:
- field reserve and resource assessment,
- wireline and well planning and execution,
- support for ongoing well abandonment operations,
- opportunity identification and evaluation for step-out acreage capture, and
- Government, regulatory and partner interactions.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**As a Production and Development Geoscientist you will be responsible for**:
- Delivering 3D geological models through the integration (including validation) of multiple datasets, including integrating new data to enable geologic model updates to optimize field depletion.
- Supporting ongoing well abandonment operations through the close collaboration with engineers to ensure safe and successful outcomes.
- Collaborating across multi-discipline teams team including reservoir, petroleum and well engineering staff.
- Identification of new data collection opportunities, incorporating cost benefit analyses in their justification.
- Contributing to, and participating in well bore utility reviews including the identification of workover opportunities and new completion intervals.
- Performing subsurface structural and stratigraphic mapping that incorporates reservoir connectivity analysis.
- Create integrated seismic interpretations combining well log based stratigraphy, seismic-to-well ties, rock property & attribute analysis (quantitative and qualitative).
- Generation of clear and comprehensive documentation of work effort.
- Delivering technical updates, advice and recommendations to the subsurface team, management and external parties.
**About you**
Your broad range of geoscience skills and experience will enable you to effectively support business needs, opportunity generation and subsurface data integration. You will bring:
- A tertiary qualification in geology, or similarly relevant discipline.

- The ability to comprehend and integrate knowledge, ideas and data to solve geologic and geophysical challenges.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multi-discipline team.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of 3D geological modelling and interpretation software such as Petrel.
- Experience in drilling operations and formation evaluation will be highly regarded.
