- Supporting 2 local manufacturing sites

As our client's Health and Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of their employees, visitors, and contractors by identifying and assessing potential hazards in the manufacturing operations, developing and implementing safety policies and procedures, and providing training and guidance to employees and management.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conducting regular safety inspections and audits of our manufacturing facilities and equipment
- Investigating accidents and incidents, identifying the root cause and developing corrective actions
- Developing and implementing safety policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with industry standards and regulations
- Providing guidance and training to management and employees on safety-related topics
- Maintaining accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and corrective actions
- Collaborating with other departments and external organizations to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
- Staying up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging safety technologies
- Creating safety reports and presenting safety performance metrics to management

**About you**:

- Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a health and safety role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of Vic Safety Act, Regulations and Standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Well-developed organisational, planning and prioritisation skills.
- Flexibility and be adaptable to changes in the business
