Join a team that is passionate about system-level service enhancement. Youth Justice Quality and Improvement collaborates with front-line Youth Justice staff to design, implement and enhance the services they deliver through the agency's quality assurance processes.
The Principal Practice Officer role guides a Cultural focus across these processes to guide the continuous improvement of services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people involved in the Youth Justice system and their families. The role involves engagement with internal and external stakeholders, including young people and families, and the Community-Controlled sector, as well as consultation across Youth Justice strategic teams, Youth Justice Service Centres and Detention Centres. The role contributes to understanding and analysing current practice trends to provide both strategic and operational advice to improve the effectiveness of Youth Justice services.
The role is based in Brisbane with some flexible working arrangements available. Travel within Queensland is a requirement of the role.Employees must be, and remain, vaccinated against COVID-19 in accordance with the department's COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements.
It is a genuine requirement of the role to hold a 'C' class driver's licence and be able to travel domestically in Queensland up to a week at a time.
You must provide one of the following types of evidence for the hiring manager to sight before an offer of employment will be made: - written confirmation of COVID-19 vaccination provided as part of the vaccination process, such as a record of vaccine card
- vaccination information displayed on the Check in QLD app
- a COVID-19 digital certificate
- your immunisation history statement
- an International COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate for overseas travel
