The roleReporting to the Nurse Educator - Rural and Remote portfolio at Retrieval Services Queensland, you will deliver and support clinical and professional education for clinical staff in rural and remote Hospital and Health Services (HHS) across Queensland. The Clinical Facilitator role works autonomously, supports management activities, and provides advanced clinical and leadership problem solving skills and expert planning in the provision of education to support care in a rural and remote context.
The Clinical Facilitator works with the Nurse Educator to develop programs and integrate learning opportunities with internal and external stakeholders and Health and Hospital Services using innovative methods for delivery including telehealth. The Clinical Facilitator works and collaborates as part of the broader multidisciplinary RSQ team.
The successful personTo be successful in this role you will have demonstrated recency of critical care knowledge and practice and extensive experience > 5 years.
In addition to this it is highly desirable that you have experience working in rural and remote settings, retrieval nursing or in an aeromedical field as well as completion of a post graduate qualification in Emergency, Critical Care Nursing or Clinical Education
Please note that travel around the state is a component of this role. RSQ is a 24/7 clinical service. This role is predominantly a weekday role, some shift work may be required and flexibility of rostered hours and days may be needed, to align with organisational need and employee work life balance requirements.

The QAS Division operates as a statewide service within Department of Health and is accountable for the delivery of pre-hospital ambulance response services, emergency and non-emergency pre-hospital patient care and transport services, inter-facility ambulance transport, aeromedical retrieval services, emergency telehealth clinical support models, confidential health assessment and information services, casualty room services and planning and coordination of multi-casualty incidents and disasters to the Queensland community.
