This project is already in progress and the Data Warehouse in MS Azure already exists. The role is to:
1) Work with the project's Business Analyst to understand and assist in defining data required to support new Power BI dashboards.
2) Translate the Data Requirements into an Interface Specification that can be shared with source system technical owners to
a) confirm an understanding of what is being requested,
b) confirm that the requested data resides in the nominated system, and
c) broker an agreement on delivery timeframe for both preparation and ongoing data delivery
3) Translate the Data Requirements into appropriate Data Models within the warehouse, including both relational and dimensional modelling techniques
4) Work with the project team's Data Engineer to ensure the Data Requirements and Models are understood and to provide guidance and support with data ingestion
Must Have
- Senior level Data Modelling experience within the context of a Data Warehouse
- Experience in Data Vault 2.0 methodology
- Experience and proven track record on previous Data Warehousing projects
- Experience in ERWIN, Solution Architect or similar data modelling tools.
- Experience in warehousing layers, relational & dimensional modelling and Data Marts
- Working understanding of the MS Azure Data Warehouse, Synapse database, and ADF pipelines
Desirable
- Data Engineering experience in developing ADF pipelines and populating all layers of the DW
- Experience in Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines.
- Experience in using Python and SQL
Term
- 6 months initial term with the option to extend
Rates
- Daily rates between $1000 - $1300.
