Diplomatik is seeking a Service Technician to join one of our national providers of sales, parts and service for generators and compressors.

We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent mechanical skills to repair and maintain plant equipment. The successful applicant will be required to utilize a range of trade skills to provide a customer focused service.
- **Location**: Perth Branch is in Welshpool
- **Travel**: Required for normal ‘field’ work within territory (typically, bottom half of WA, Kalgoorlie, Goldfields etc), and occasional ‘operator’ jobs within WA and OffShore and potentially Interstate (Note: Interstate for training or conferences occasionally).
- **Reports to**: National Service Manager

**Salary information**:

- Base hourly rate: $45-50 per hour (based on experience)
- Car: Tool of Trade Ute for work purposes
- _Allowances:_
- $100 per day allowance on weekend/public holidays
- $20/$50 per day mobile allow weekday/weekend when taking the afterhours branch calls
- Callout - paid at a min 4hrs
- $42 per night separation allowance (when staying overnight on a normal service jobs)
- $140 per night Operators separation allowance (when doing an operator job)
- $60/$110 per hour (weekday/weekend) Offshore RATE (replaces above normal hourly rate)

**Duties**:

- Speciality Rental (not general hire), of large air compressors, large generators, nitrogen generators, steam boilers, and associated products (booster, dryers).
- Mix of workshop & field base service role and occasional operator jobs on customer sites (typically remote or offshore, 12hr+ shifts etc).
- Role involves: servicing /maintaining equipment/fleet when it has been returned to be rent ready again
- Servicing / maintaining / fault diagnostics of equipment in workshop or customer sites
- Commissioning / decommissioning of equipment at customer sites
- Operator jobs (doing the above, and operating the equipment ensuring customer is getting correct pressure/flows etc out of equipment during their project) - often remote or offshore.

**Requirements**:

- Mechanically qualified
- Service technician (preferred)
- Hire/Rental industry is NOT a requirement
- Valid driver’s licence
- Intermediate PC skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
