**About the role**

Transport Supervisor is a hands-on role in every aspect of the regions transport activity. The purpose is to ensure that the product delivered safely and efficiently to our consumers and all agents and distributors. All of which is to be done with properly trained drivers and maintained vehicles operating to company and regulated standards.

**Your duties will include**:

- Support all areas of the business with an operational emphasis on cylinder & tanker deliveries, driver induction / recruitment, training & support and, scheduling
- Monitor and Manage transport costs, contractor performance and payments and, control and payment of payroll / agency labour hire.
- Coordinate and control established standards of maintenance (including preventative maintenance) and breakdown programs on all delivery vehicles
- Complete regular and random Inspections on cylinder trucks, tankers and any other vehicle used in a transport capacity on a routine basis to ensure that high standards of cleanliness, safety, and security are maintained
- Meet all metrics and targets set by the business including, transport delivery KPI’s, truck and DEL audits, Customer Promise (transport specific), corrective actions via drivecam and coaching and Linde directives
- Maintain an up to date working understanding of Elgas’ Routing Program (RAT)
- Promote safety awareness and training through monthly driver safety meetings and monitoring the completion of all training objectives

**It is expected you will bring experience including**:

- Strong transport background
- Strong and accurate administrative & compliance focus
- Strong and relevant computer skills (EWS & RAT)
- Highly developed written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent decision-making skills and personal initiative and adaptability
