**Job Description**:
As part of the Product and Technology data team, the Commercial Data Products squad collectively supports the data operational capabilities of audience segmentation for the Sales Data Products team: collect, store and activate 1st and 3rd party data to deliver better targeted advertising. These data are unique to Nine and considered as a competitive edge to create premium data product inventory. We always aim to build high-performing data products, increase efficiency and reduce complexity in our data systems and data models.

As a Tech Lead, you are someone who understands the significance of Customer Data Platform (CDP) within a large media organisation, directly contributing to the management of CDP to ensure effective utilisation and security of customer data. You will also partner with the Product Manager and be comfortable working with a variety of technical and non technical stakeholders.

**Role responsibilities**
- Provide technical leadership to team, guide and mentor team members, guide with technical decision-making, and set the technical direction for the project. Oversee the process of data ingestion, transformation, and integration into the CDP, ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Responsible for making high-level design decisions and ensuring that data products satisfy non-functional requirements.
- Assist with project planning, define project milestones, estimates, and task assignments.
- Establish and enforce data security measures, access controls, and encryption protocols to safeguard sensitive customer information.
- Define and implement monitoring tools, set up alerts, and proactively address any performance issues to maintain the platform's efficiency. Work closely with customers and product to define a roadmap to continuously optimise the platform's performance to deliver fast query and retrieval times for customer data.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, marketers, and product managers, to understand customer requirements and implement new features or enhancements to the CDP.

**Qualifications**:

- Hands-on data solutions experience with at least one major CDP vendor - Adobe Experience Platform, Tealium, Salesforce, Segments, Hightouch. Adobe Experience Platform highly desired but not essential
- Advanced knowledge to cloud infrastructure related to data, ideally Google Cloud Platform
- Advanced knowledge of database structures, theories, principles & practices
- Excellent understanding of agile principles
- Solid understanding of CI/CD, Version Control like Github or Bitbucket
