About the Technology Team

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join our team as Software Testing Practice Manager - Technology Operations. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead a team of test professionals in the execution and delivery of testing services for Jetstar’s technology department. The role requires a strong understanding of testing methodologies and best practices, as well as the ability to lead and mentor a team. The scope of this role includes the development and implementation of testing frameworks, which will cover manual, automated and non-functional testing.

As Software Testing Practice Manager - Technology Operations, your responsibilities are to:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive test framework that includes manual, automated, and non-functional testing
- Manage and lead a team of test professionals, including setting goals, providing feedback, and conducting performance evaluations
- Develop and maintain testing methodologies and best practices, and ensure that they are being followed by the team
- Work with domains, squads, and project teams to understand their testing needs and develop a plan to meet those needs
- Monitor project activities and ensure that testing deliverables are being met efficiently
- Identify and manage risks associated with testing activities
- Communicate test practice status and issues to teams and stakeholders
- Continuously evaluate and improve the team's processes, tools, and practices
- Stay up to date with the latest testing trends and technologies and provide thought leadership

About you
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in testing, with at least 3 years of experience in a management role
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies, testing tools, and best practices
- Experience leading and managing a team of test professionals
- Strong stakeholder-facing skills and ability to manage stakeholder relationships
- Experience with software testing, and functional commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software testing
- Experience with test automation, performance testing, and non-functional testing
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- ISTQB or related certification is a plus.
