Our Opportunity

Australian Unity has an exciting opportunity for a Testing Practice Lead. This role involves leading and managing testing and quality assurance practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality software and products that meet stakeholder expectations and industry standards. You will develop and implement effective testing strategies, optimize testing processes, and foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement across group technology and the organization.

This position is crucial for supporting the technology model, with practices situated in both Business Platform and Group Technology teams.

Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Testing Management: Develop and implement testing strategies across teams, ensure adherence to methodologies, and support teams with audit responses.
  • Practice Management: Use subject matter experts and working groups to configure tools to support team needs and manage license deployment.
  • Reporting & Monitoring: Use reporting platforms to monitor compliance and develop escalation frameworks for technology leaders.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Technology Leaders to foster a culture of collaboration and indirect leadership.
  • Strategy & Planning Support: Support development lifecycle planning, including business case development, product build, implementation, and operational processes.

What We Are Looking For

  • Relevant tertiary and postgraduate qualifications; a postgraduate qualification is highly regarded.
  • Experience leading a testing team or practice; project management experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of technology solutions, including hardware, software, and networking.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Experience building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Vendor management experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and relationship management skills.
