Riverlife is your one-stop-shop for all things fun, functions, excitement and adventure. Riverlife’s fully guided tours are a fun, interactive way to explore Brisbane and gain a unique perspective of the city. Kayak along the Brisbane River, abseil down the Kangaroo Point Cliffs or climb to the top. There is also a great range of equipment available for hire, including road bikes, rollerblades, kayaks. Your role on a day-to-day basis will be to manage events at the adventure centre, ranging from school groups to birthday parties or company team building events. The best part of the job is that every customer comes to Riverlife to enjoy themselves whether it be to try something new, a day out with friends or family or just visiting Brisbane and looking for fun things to do. With the 2032 Olympics on the horizon, Riverlife aims to ensure we are well positioned for the growing city of Brisbane and we will continue being an iconic venue for everything fun, adventure & events.

**Qualifications & experience**
- Qualification in tourism, sales, or management is highly advantageous.
- Prior experience with other tour operators, group sessions or school camps is preferred.
- Strong strategic thinking skills are valuable for creating effective staff schedules and optimizing operations.
- Excellent telephone skills, verbal communication, and customer service abilities are essential. This includes active listening, conveying information clearly, and handling customer inquiries professionally, even under pressure.
- Experience in the online booking platform Rezdy and use of other CRM and sales softwares is advantageous
- Demonstrated self-confidence and the ability to lead and direct both clients and staff effectively.

**Tasks & responsibilities**
- Monitor and coordinate the planning of guest tours and events throughout the process, from lead generation to post-event support
- Coordinate flawless execution and organised delivery of the events, along with the coordination of the many varied requirements of the business.
- Generate and maintain relationships with guests, tourism operators, and other external stakeholders
- Proactively identify and capitalize on new enquiries, with a primary focus on increasing sales in all areas of the business
- Work with the sales team and focus on reaching our target of doubling our school excursion bookings within a 12 month period.
- Using the Rezdy booking platform to optimize sales channels, enhance the customer booking experience, and increase online sales.
- Manage all instructors & customer service staff to ensure all tours run on time, are fun and run safely
- Ensure that all equipment is in safe working order to support sales activities and prevent any disruptions to customer experiences.
- Ensure compliance with all OH&S (Occupational Health and Safety) requirements, to maintain a safe environment for staff and customers.

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
