Melbourne, Australia Up Full time

**About us**:
Up is built by Ferocia, a technology company that is proudly part of Bendigo and Adelaide Bank. We still value face to face interactions, and as such are currently only hiring in Melbourne or adjacent areas.

Ferocia hits that sweet spot of having a small company rhythm, with large company reach and resources. The success of Up speaks for itself, and we are proud that Bendigo and Adelaide Bank is carbon neutral, community minded, and committed to high standards of corporate governance.

Banking is an essential service for the advantaged, disadvantaged, and everyone in between. We believe that through innovation, empathy, and compassion, we can help the people who most need it have a better relationship with their money.

We take diversity and inclusivity seriously, so no matter who you are or who you love, we just need you to be yourself.

**The role**:
**Your typical day could include**:

- ** Innovation and Exploration**: Whether it’s digging through customer feedback or collecting your own first-hand, running interviews, diving into data, brainstorming new ways to protect our customers, creating new processes or refining existing ones, you’re always on the lookout for ways to bolster our defences.
- ** Collaboration**: Working hand-in-hand with our tech teams, customer support teams, financial crimes teams, customer experience team, and product team to introduce cutting-edge fraud detection and prevention systems and processes.
- ** Strategy and Planning**: Developing and executing an innovative fraud prevention and detection strategy that leverages advanced technologies, data analytics, and machine learning.
- ** Training and Awareness**: Implementing training programs for employees across the organisation, cultivating a culture of digital fraud awareness. Working with our customer experience, product, design, tech, and marketing teams to ensure our customers get relevant information at the most appropriate time via the most appropriate channel/s when it comes to how they can protect themselves.
- **Reporting**: Reporting to senior management and other stakeholders on the status of fraud risks, controls, and the performance of fraud prevention systems.

**About you**:

- You have a decade of experience in protecting customers, with a focus on fraud detection and prevention. Experience in a digital/mobile banking environment highly preferred.
- You have a deep understanding of the latest fraud trends, prevention technologies and systems, and relevant regulations and industry codes.
- You have a track record of driving successful fraud detection and prevention initiatives.
- You have experience with data analysis and machine learning as it relates to fraud detection.
- You have strong communication and leadership skills.
- You might be a small cog in a big machine right now, ready to leave your comfort zone and have the impact and leverage that comes with joining a team where ideas can turn into reality in days, not months
- Not quite ticking every box? Throw your hat in the ring anyway Research shows that folks from underrepresented groups, including women, often shy away from opportunities because they feel they might not meet every single criterion - but usually, they're selling themselves short At Up, we're all about shaking things up and rewriting the rules. We thrive on diversity and inclusion, and we wholeheartedly encourage you to step up and shine. Let us be the judge of your qualifications - you might just surprise yourself_
