**The role**:
You are responsible for leading a team of fraud experts, analytics development, management of fraud, management of business rules/models, policies, procedures and supporting initiatives being driven by the fraud delivery program of work. The fraud delivery program of work and initiatives span across one or more business units to enable NAB in achieving its overall goals.

**Your opportunity**
- Provide the opportunity to connect data and insights that will drive current and future value to Group Investigations & Fraud.
- As a portfolio leader this role has the broader responsibility to work collaboratively across the NAB group, bringing intelligence and strategic thinking in ensuring the right information is brought to the business at the right time, which contributes to the proactive forward-looking business lens**.**

**The role and Day to day will include**:

- Deliver strong leadership by providing development opportunities, coaching, training and drive a high performing team with outcomes that align to the Group Investigations & Fraud and NAB’s overall strategy
- Build an inclusive team that respects the values, experiences, and perspective of others
- Leverage relevant information to collaborate with stakeholders to create prevention and detection strategies that meet business outcomes
- Ensure the ongoing management of prevention and detection current capabilities and systems ensuring relevant data feeds are enhanced to identify continuous threats
- Continue to make improvements to the portfolios control environment at NAB
- Adhere to NAB governance processes and procedures ensuring model assessments, control assessments, compliance learning and risk assessments are conducted ensuring NAB & Customer losses are mitigated
- Provide ongoing support Financial Crime Risk Mitigation’s wider teams including teams across Group Investigations & Fraud

**What you will bring**:

- Proven strong leadership skills with an emphasis on building new capabilities and evolving existing capabilities
- Extensive years’ experience in external/internal fraud
- Ability to take a customer driven approach and think outside the square
- Strong communication and negotiation skills (written & verbal)
- Ability to influence change
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- A good understanding of the Group Investigations & Fraud business, sound business acumen and judgement; ability to see and communicate challenges in business terms and the ability to understand and deliver value to the business
- A tertiary qualification for relevant industry experience
- Extensive understanding of data analytics, data modelling, data strategies and sound technical experience
- Proven experience in working with data to translate quantitative and qualitative information to achieve outcomes
