**About the Company**
Our large NSW State Government client drives integration and efficiency across long term planning, precincts, housing, property, infrastructure, open space, environment, natural resources including land, water, mining, energy and growing our industries.

**About the Role**
They are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Community Engagement Officer to join their team in Parramatta with flexibility to work remotely from home. This is an estimated 5-month temporary assignment, with a strong potential to extend.

Reporting to the Manager, you will be required to support the development, implementation and review of strategies, projects and activities to establish effective community and stakeholder engagement.

In this rewarding role, you will be undertaking the following duties:

- Assist in the delivery of high-quality communication and community engagement strategies
- Contribute to community engagement strategies to deliver on priority state-wide and regional outcomes
- Establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
- Schedule and coordinate workshops, committees, meetings and events
- Preparation of reports, submissions, briefing notes and ministerial correspondence
- Update and maintain vital stakeholder contact details in the database
- Ensure compliance with best practice and legislative requirements

**About You**
To be successful in this great assignment you will have the following:

- Demonstrated experience delivering community engagement programs for high profile / politically sensitive projects
- Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
- Superior organisational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
- Solid analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Reliable internet access with the ability to work remotely from home
- Fully COVID vaccinated or medically exempt
- Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
