A little bit about the role
The Coordinator Corporate Information leads the Corporate Information function. This roles sets the strategic direction for how we manage corporate records, with a strong focus on public records management.This role defines council standards for records management, ensuring alignment with the standards set by the Public Record Office Victoria while also fit for purpose to meet the needs of council.
We are looking for an experienced records management professional with a background in the public sector. You will play a key role in ensuring council’s information is captured, stored and shared as described in the Records Management Policy. You will develop and maintain policies, practices and strategic plans that help all council staff meet record keeping standards and legislation responsibilities. As a leader, you will set the example by developing and coaching a diverse and committed team to deliver high-quality information management services to the organisation.
About You
You have demonstrated experience leading and motivating teams to achieve shared goals
Strong understanding of information management, records management and governance
You enjoy leading and working with a collaborative, solutions-focused team
Highly developed in building relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and the ability to communicate complex records management concepts in plain language
You have strong analytical and investigative skills in research and policy formation,
You want to work for an organisation that provides real benefits to the community
