Community Worker

We are seeking a dedicated Community Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality home care services to the elderly and NDIS participants. Your commitment to their well-being and independence will be essential.
*Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, cleaning, laundry, shopping, cooking, and medication administration.
- Monitor overall well-being and escalate concerns to our Registered Nurse and management as necessary.
- Attend appointments with participants and provide transportation when needed.
- Facilitate physical, recreational, social, and educational activities to enhance participants engagement.
- Compile and report all accidents, incidents, and hazards to management.
- Ensure the safe management of all equipment in accordance with policies and procedures.
*Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Commitment to ongoing training and education.
- Current unrestricted driver’s license.
- Dementia care experience is highly recommended.
- Certificate III or higher in Aged Care, Disability, or Individual Support.
- Current First Aid/CPR Certificate.
- Current Manual Handling Certificate.
- Current Criminal Record Check or willingness to undergo a National Criminal Record Check.

Pay: $73,150.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift

- Certificate I - IV (required)
**Experience**:
- working with people with disability: 2 years (required)
- Working with the elderly: 2 years (required)

- Australian Drivers Licence (required)
- Working with Children Check (required)
- NDIS Workers Check (required)

- 75% (required)
