Casual Support Worker/carer

The Brightside Foundation is a non-profit organisation set up to improve the quality of lives of individuals and their families living with autism.

We strive to transform lives of individuals living with autism through education and direct support to the individuals and their families.

- Engaging person-centred active support in areas such as social activities and appointments
- Working time: Tue, Wed, and Fri from 9am to 4pm
- Develop and implement engaging programs and assist the client with access to the community
- Utilise your personal experience to provide emotional support, inspire, listen ear and connect to help disabilities and elderly people navigate challenges.
- Collaborate with our team to create a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Adapt service delivery and support as appropriate to meet participant needs and goals while following the support plan in place while following the support plan in place
- Promote and assist Clients to live an active, healthy and positive lifestyle
- Follow all organisational policies, regulations and procedures
- Any other reasonable duties as required

**Essential Requirements**
- Previous experience working as support worker or similar is preferred.
- Current valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle
- Have available time on Tue, Wed and Fri from 9am to 4pm
- Good communication skills by English
- Can speak Chinese is advantage
- High level of time management and organizational ability
- Certificate III and above in Aged Care or Individual Support or Community Service or Disability will be an advantage.
- Satisfactory Australian National Police check, Working with Children Check, NDIS worker screening check or willing to obtain these documents.
- Current or willing to obtain a First Aid and CPR certificate

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: From $31.46 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 12 per week
