**Position Title**: Aboriginal Culturally Safe Birthing co-ordinator
**Classification**: Dependent on qualification
**Hours per fortnight**: 80 (including a monthly ADO)
**Employment Status**: Permanent full time

**Role Description**

The Aboriginal Culturally Safe Birthing Coordinator position aims to walk alongside First nations mothers and families to offer culturally safe birthing experience across the pregnancy continuum with the purpose of providing each Aboriginal baby the best start of in life.

We are looking for an enrolled nurse, registered nurse, registered midwife, allied health professional or social work or equivalent experience (personal or professional).

We also wish that the applicant identifies as Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.

**The Team**

The Clinical Operations Division encompasses acute, allied health, cancer and mental health services. We provide a wide range of general medical, surgical and specialty services including but not limited to; Oncology, Cardiology, Renal, Emergency, Women’s and Children’s, Critical Care, Specialist Clinics, Cancer Clinics and Mental Health Services. Our Allied Health teams provide a diverse range of programs and person centred care in inpatient, outpatient, community, home and residential care settings.
