Make a Real Impact as a Tenancy & Property Manager in the Housing Homeless Sector
Are you an experienced Property Manager looking for a rewarding career change? Or perhaps you're already working in the housing and homelessness sector and ready to take the next step in your career with a dynamic and impactful organisation? This is your chance to join our team in Bendigo and make a real difference in the lives of individuals and families facing housing instability.
The Role
Step into a role where your expertise will directly impact the lives of those in need. As a Tenancy & Property Manager, you'll be at the forefront of transforming the housing experience for individuals and families facing homelessness. You'll manage a diverse portfolio of properties, guide clients through every step of the application and tenancy process, and ensure their needs are met with care and compassion. From overseeing maintenance and rent management to building strong relationships with key community partners, you'll play a vital role in driving positive change. This is more than just property management – it's about creating stability, providing hope, and making a lasting difference in your community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage tenancy and property functions for a portfolio of housing stock
- Support clients with application processes and waitlist management
- Handle rental management activities, property maintenance, and ensure tenant satisfaction
- Collaborate with community agencies and government bodies to improve support for homeless individuals
- Gather and analyse data to help shape policy changes addressing housing stress
- Represent the Housing team at VCAT hearings, advocating for clients and managing tenancy disputes
Who We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in tenancy and property management, ideally in the community service sector or real estate
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills—you're a problem-solver at heart
- Ability to work within program, legislative, and budgetary constraints while keeping clients at the forefront
- A genuine passion for supporting people facing homelessness and an understanding of the barriers they face
- This is more than just a job—it's a chance to create real, lasting change. If you're a passionate property professional or have experience in the homelessness sector and want to take your career in a more impactful direction, we want to hear from you.
