The Procurement & Supply Chain Optimisation (P&SCO) Portfolio builds on the foundational work undertaken in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to drive operational enhancements and increase value across the Queensland health system.

The P&SCO Portfolio has already delivered an expanded network of warehouses and distribution centres across the state, as well as a range of further enhancements to Queensland Health's procurement and supply chain operations, including efficiencies and improvements through implementing contemporary enabling technologies and enhanced data analytics capability.

Working with stakeholders across Queensland Health, the P&SCO Portfolio is a time-limited, temporary work program, consisting of four workstreams, designed to improve procurement and supply chain operations and drive sustainable benefits through transformational change.

**Purpose of the Role**:
The Program Scheduler will develop, maintain and review program and project schedules for the Procurement Transformation Program. You will provide expert advice on planning and scheduling to contribute to successful program delivery and ensure all aspects of program and project timelines are accurately captured, baselined and maintained.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Provide expert advice on planning and scheduling to optimise program and project delivery.
- Identify and implement planning and scheduling improvement initiatives, including establishing a planning and scheduling framework including related processes and templates.
- Collaborate across the Program, broader portfolio and with key stakeholders, including routinely with the Portfolio Management Office, to ensure alignment and quality is maintained.
- Facilitate planning workshops to ensure proper planning is completed and interdependencies are identified (including documentation of resultant schedules).
- Manage and report on performance against schedule baselines.
- Develop, maintain, and manage a master program schedule and multiple project schedules.
- Identify program and project risks and issues based on schedule performance and planned activity.
- Evaluate project schedule progress and performance to identify schedule delays and provide advice on corrective options.
- Ensure the schedules are aligned with Queensland Health best practices.
- Map and maintain project interdependency linkages to ensure dependencies are managed to the best outcome for the program and project.
- Develop and uplift the skills of project team members through imparting expertise and knowledge of project scheduling and scheduling technologies.
- Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces. Reporting / work relationships The position reports to Digital Enablement Lead and does not have any direct reports. Mandatory qualifications, registrations and other requirements
- While not mandatory, a relevant tertiary qualification and scheduling certificates would be well regarded.
- Ability to work across South East Queensland sites

**Essential Experience Required for this role**:

- Extensive experience using scheduling tools (MS Project, Jira are preferred) and knowledge in planning, scheduling, resource management and financial management.
- Experience working in complex program or portfolio environments.
- Experience with facilitation of planning workshops (including agile planning) to assess team objectives and interdependencies across the program.
- Experience working on projects in capacities other than in scheduling (e.g., as a project lead, business, technical or data analyst, or like roles), supporting your ability to undertake other project tasks and activities as required.
- Understands the challenges of working in complex environments with multiple stakeholders while still maintaining a focus on delivery.
- High level oral and written communication skills and the ability to participate in constructive negotiations to achieve the best outcomes.
