**About the role**

The Manager Roads Asset Delivery is responsible for providing leadership and strategic guidance to project delivery and contract administration of Council’s renewal and maintenance of pavements, kerb and gutter and roads infrastructure.

The position also assists Group Manager Roads Infrastructure on sourcing and managing various grants opportunities.

**On a daily basis you will**:

- Assist the Manager Roads Asset Planning and Group Manager Roads Infrastructure in developing and monitoring service level agreements with internal stakeholders and interface agreements with external agencies.
- Prepare and manage tender documents and manage the tender process relating to civil infrastructure projects including pavement renewal, kerb and gutter replacement and renewal works.
- Provide specialist technical advice and guidance on engineering matters to the organization and external customers.

**About You**

**You will bring the following skills**:

- Well advanced customer service skills with ability to represent Council to deal with asset related customer enquires
- Well advanced verbal and written communication skills.
- Well advanced capability to make decisions with regard to asset related technical issues
- Extensive experience to manage construction contracts, establishing specialized panel of service providers and negotiating best value for money to Council
- Extensive experience to develop and implement priority works program.
- Demonstrated experience in project and program management.
- Demonstrated leadership skill to work effectively in a team and cross functionally across Council.
- Demonstrated competency is the use of MS Office packages including word, excel spreadsheet and PowerPoint.

Qualifications:

- Civil Engineering degree with significant experience in project delivery of roads and civil infrastructures.
- Class C Drivers License

We are offering an attractive total remuneration from $131,517 to $144,806 plus 10.5% superannuation.
