Due to recent promotion within our team we are looking for our next Customer and Community Coordinator to join our team. We deliver key road maintenance and construction projects across Sydney as a part of the Sydney Roads and Asset Performance Contract for Transport for NSW.

The contract is centred on the delivery of routine and larger maintenance projects to improve Sydney’s road network and covers a diverse range of customers and stakeholders - no one day is the same. As network stewards, we have a strong customer focus and goal to improve the local communities we work within and create positive place - making opportunities.

Based in Rydalmere, your responsibilities will include providing support to the Customer and Community team, learning how to develop and deliver communication materials including notifications, engagement plans, social media posts and assist with community and key stakeholder interactions. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to start their career in communication and engagement within the construction industry, or for someone who already has a few years of experience. You will also:

- Assist with management of general enquiries inbox and logging of stakeholder interactions using Consultation Manager;
- Assist with the team administration, including managing work trackers, logístical operations such as booking and liaising with print and distribution suppliers;
- Learn how to write and develop notifications and supporting communication materials for the contract’s maintenance and project delivery
- we are continually looking for ways to improve our communication approach and always looking to improve the content we distribute;
- Learn and develop communication skills in interacting with stakeholders including the local community, businesses and other key stakeholders such as the client, asset owners and local councils;
- Participate in roll out of internal communication activities (such as photo competitions, lunch and learns and team events) and sustainability opportunities including community events, fundraising opportunities;
- Assist in development of content for social media and proactive media opportunities - an area we are constantly working on improving our awareness in the community.
