**Job Summary**:

Powerlink Queensland is growing and in support of major renewable energy projects we offer permanent career opportunities for site based Clearing and Access Specialists to monitor and control Environmental and Cultural Heritage project obligations regarding land access and clearing to mitigate our project risks during construction.

**About the role**:
We currently have permanent opportunities for Transmission Lines Construction - Clearing and Access - Specialists to support our critical non-regulated project portfolio, including exciting renewable energy projects. We are looking for a dynamic and driven person who is good at problem-solving, critical thinking, has attention to detail and a 'solution' minded project delivery attitude.

You will play an active role in ensuring our construction projects comply with Environmental and Cultural Heritage conditions on site, this support also include fit for purpose access roads, mobile plant pads, laydown areas and the maintenance thereof during construction.

In this Specialist role you will assist in management of Powerlink Queensland’s transmission line corridors and land assets in accordance with Powerlink’s policies and procedures. You will plan, organise, supervise, perform assurance activities on contractors undertaking transmission easement clearing and access works in order to deliver Powerlink a reliable transmission network.

If you thrive in a task-driven, Construction site based environment with strong attention to detail, and are always keen to get things done properly and want to contribute to the on-site delivery of major customer focussed projects this will be a great opportunity for you.
- You have a Degree level qualification in Environmental or related discipline (Arboriculture or Horticulture or Conservation and Land Management); or lesser qualification coupled with significant suitable industry experience
- In addition to this you will have significant experience in the land and/or vegetation management environment supported by applied knowledge in:

- forming and maintaining access tracks,
- sustainable land and access clearing methodologies,
- Class 1 & 2 Declared Pest Plants,
- native tree species of South East Queensland,
- construction related contract administration,
- cultural heritage management practices
- relating to and communicating with traditional and current landowners
