**The Role**:
The team at KU Macquarie Fields are looking for a qualified and experienced Early Childhood Teacher to work as their services Family Coordinator.

This position will see you join the team 7.6 hours a day 3 or 4 days per week and is a unique and exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and families.

As a Family Coordinator, your role will be to work in partnership with vulnerable families and families from cultural and linguistically diverse backgrounds while conducting and facilitating meetings to identify support needs, build connections with networks, and support children’s transitions into the preschool and primary school settings. Part of the role encompasses working alongside educators with children within the programme to form relationships and awareness of individual children’s needs.

Experience in planning, developing, and implementing Individual Learning Plans (ILP) for children with additional needs, knowledge of the Transition to School process and ACCESS requests is required for this role along with experience accessing the NDIS and early intervention services.

**About you**:

- A recognised Early Childhood Teaching degree level of qualification in Early Childhood or similar as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)
- Teacher Accreditation through NESA
- Teaching experience in a range of Early Childhood prior to school settings.
- Experience working with children with additional needs, vulnerable families, and allied health professionals.
- An understanding of the complexities of having a child with additional needs and to be intuitive and responsive to family needs.
- Knowledge of a family centred approach.
- The ability to work with a variety of people in different settings.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills.
- A current NSW Employee Working with Children Check
- Current Child Protection training and a strong understanding of your role as a mandatory reporter
- Knowledge and experience of child protection and child safe practices.
- The ability to connect with local community and be knowledgeable of accessing support networks and interagency.
- A current First Aid certificate as approved by ACECQA, CPR, and approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management certificates
- Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
- Professional level of written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy skills
